According the HOWTO - I have to boot into Windows and make sure that the IRDA is turned on/ enabled before I can set it up in Linux.
Does anyone know if this is still true and if there is another (non-Windows) solution to this? I am not sure I have Win98 on my computer any more and would hate to reinstall it just to make it work and then reinstall Linux to make it work well.
