Since last April I'm trying to get Debian to run on my laptop. Noone was able to help me so far... I tried it with woody or potato, same thing! I'm using the loadlin from install.bat to load the bootdisks. I need to do a network installation. After selecting and loading the correct module for my built-in network card (eepro100), I'm trying to start to install the base system. That's where my machine get's stuck. As soon as it's trying to connect to dhcp, it's hanging up. Not even the other console-windows work (Alt-F2...)
Other people didn't run into that problem with the same machine and I got a friend who's running woody on a Z600NE. It definately neet to get this going, but I'm almost giving up thanks for your help philip
