Hello! I'm new in this list, I want to say "HELLO!!" to you all. I have a question. I'm using a compaq with 800x600 of resolution. I installed debian potato and I wanted to get that resolution in text mode, but I still can't. Some of the thinks I did are:
1. Uncomment some #define in the /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/video.S 2. Put vga=788 in the lilo.conf file. 3. Compiled the kernel and support for VGA text console, and Video mode selection support. But I still can't. Thankyou in advance.
