The fact that it is Lucent is hopeful (mine works), but not all of them are supported. You need to find out what it is exactly. Assuming its a pci modem then lspci -vv should give you more exact info along these lines. This page: http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html should then give you some decent info about whether yours is actually supported. Then if it is supported, this page http://www.heby.de/ltmodem (full functionality but not open source) will give you the downloads (as debs even!).
