cd /usr/src/linux; make xconfig. Go to block devices - there is
support for ide on parport. I have never tried it, but I assume that
you'll have to enable support for ide on parport, then do scsi emulation
(ide-scsi), so that cd burning works. Try googling for parport cd burner
linux or something - you ought to come up with some useful hints.
