Benoit, Choose "vesa" as your video driver (During the instalation) and choose a 4096Kb for your videoram (Use xf86config to set this option). If necessary, edit the XF86Config-4 and include the 1024x768 resolution.

Helping a friend to install debian woody on is toshiba 490XCDT but no luck
using xfree 4.1 and s3virge and s3virge/mx complete lockup.
does somebody know something about this ??
