sjog must be launched by the window manager (gdm) which is owned by the logged user.
sjog needs w rights on /dev/sonypi so the logged user needs the w rights valiho:/# egrep -r sony /etc/devfs /etc/devfs/perms:REGISTER ^sonypi PERMISSIONS root.tty 0666 Is this setting correct ? Are some other settings needed ?
