Hello List, on my woody system, I have trouble with automatic screen blanking just under the character-type terminal. With X it works fine.
After some time, the terminal clears and nothing more on the console reacts. No mouse-moving, no typing, even no ctr-alt-del works. But the machine is still working fine with its server-services (ssh, dhcp, dns). The problem apeared, as I compiled a kernel by myself (2.4.19). Is it a problem of the powermanagement? I have no running apmd, because I don't want to use any powermanagement functions.
