Right, I needed this it seems. Installed this. It pushes good looking status
messages to my syslog, beeps when a printer is plugged in. Thank you. :-)

This was already installed and seems to find the printer settings ok.
Unfortunately. Still no luck. :-(
Any more thoughts?
