Moin,
after buying a new mobile phone (a Siemens ME45) I want to use the irda port
on my Dell notebook.
I installed the irda-tools, I know that this Dell notebook supports the FIR
mode.
But when I type
irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s
I see in the /var/log/syslog:
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra irattach: tcsetattr: Invalid argument
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra irattach: Stopping device /dev/ttyS1
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module /dev/ttyS1
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra irattach: ioctl(SIOCGIFFLAGS): No such device
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra irattach: ioctl: set_inidisc: Bad file descriptor
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra irattach: tcsetattr: Invalid argument
Mar 2 23:03:38 lyra irattach: exiting ...

What's missing?

Thanks for help!
