*grumble* I'm currently running a custom kernel which is 2.4.18. Would upgrading to 2.4.20 be considered a "minor upgrade" according to these instructions: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Kernel-HOWTO-2.html#ss2.2 Also, I find some references to an ACPI patch: http://sourceforge.net/projects/acpi/ suggests there's a patch which has been applied to 2.4.19 according to: http://rivy.student.khleuven.be/acertm/#APCI And I went back to my windows Resources Summary Report and it tells me that I am Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System....for whatever that's worth.
