2.4.22 obviously uses the kernel pcmcia driver, whereas bf24 uses the
modules from pcmcia-cs. On my notebook I badly need to use the later
modules because my system freezes with the ones from linux kernel.
Consider building your own 2.4.22 Kernel with modules from pcmcia-cs if
needed.
