Okay, I got the base system installed with a pile of floppies. I floppied over the installer for the ATMEL driver and configuration apps. from http://sourceforge.net/projects/atmelwlandriver/
Now the problem is "make" which is required for the ATMEL installer, does not seem to be included in the base system. So I got the .deb package for "make" but I get lots of errors with make, including a complaint that "gcc" is not available. Loking at the deb packages for gcc it looks like there are lots of dependent packages I would need as well. There must be a better way to go about getting my wireless card to work. Any ideas? Is there some way to manually install the drivers? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Webster Kelsey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 10, 2004 4:36 PM Subject: newbie: net install via wireless PC card? > I am trying to install Debian (woody) on an old Thinkpad 560.
