This is on an IBM thinkpad x22 with ATI Radeon/Mobility. Has anyone else encountered same?
Diabling DRI stops the problem. Is the solution to upgrade to X 4.3? The laptop kernel patches that were required before, are they now in the late 2.4 kernels, such as 2.4.25? Can one run the unstable X 4.3 in testing? The 2.6 kernel is also available in testing now, but users seem to be having problems. Also earlier posts on this indicates problems with running X 4.3 on 2.6 kernels. I could also give up the GL screensavers ... but I think the general problem is between DRI and 3D acceleration. There were earlier (2003) posts relating to this, but I would like to know the latest state of affairs re: the latest sarge, kernels, X. Elaine
