Hi Laurie,

Here are the results of ifconfig and iwconfig for my orinoco card (eth1) in
the 2.6.5 kernel. I'm kind of new to debian, so I may be missing something
obvious. The iwconfig command returns ""no wireless extensions"" (see
below).

ifconfig eth1
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:00:3D:11:D8
          BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
          Interrupt:9 Base address:0x1800

iwconfig eth1
eth1 no wireless extensions.

When I boot using the bf24 kernel my wireless card works perfectly and I get
these results for the same two commands:

ifconfig
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:02:2D:60:F9:E1
          inet addr:10.0.1.3 Bcast:10.0.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:1742 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:1895 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:885743 (864.9 KiB) TX bytes:314130 (306.7 KiB)
          Interrupt:5 Base address:0x140

iwconfig eth1
eth1 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"1ecb13" Nickname:"Folger"
