All I did were the following commands: # make-kpkg clean # make menuconfig # make-kpkg --revision=some-test.1.0 kernel_image modules_image
So as you can see I did clean the source _before_ compilation and not _after_ it. -- On this laptop no Windows system survives and LINUX POWER reigns UNLIMITED.
