Oh, Motu it's a great sndcard. Right, I meant to use a Terratec indeed. I actually own a Terratec EWS88MT (8in 8out, pci of course) which works perfectly on Lenny (as in Sarge before) and was asking about firewire behaviour in order to use it on a laptop. have a look on linux-sound.org and also linuxaudio.org for more info on what > hardware works with linux I am going to look there before buy. hope this helps.... > > nik thank you raffaele
