I already yesterday tried by replacing the newly created xorg.conf file by the backups I had there. It didn't help. I will still try with other backups. I have got several of them, because I have tried as well "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" That didn't help at all, because it reconfigured only the keyboard... with best, - hv --- On Fri, 2/20/09, kawk <[email protected]> wrote: From: kawk <[email protected]> Subject: Re: external monitor? Copy your current xorg.conf file to /tmp/, and replace it with the most recent backup.
