I need to add something else: I record phone interviews using an adapter that was purchased from Radio Shack. The adapter allows me to tap the phone line, and record the conversation on my Zoom H4 digital recorder. If desired, I am sure that it could also be plugged into the line-in port on a computer sound card. Audacity, or a similar audio capture program would work to record from the telephone.
