Hi, just a quick heads-up for anyone who might be interested. I've spent a day installing Debian on a newly bought Acer C740 Chromebook (nice hardware).
The hardware is too bleeding edge for Jessie, but the machine works rather nicely with Unstable and some manual tweaks (bugs have been filed, most issues should be resolved fairly quickly).
