I think that debian-lex should focus developing solutions so that existing software used by legal offices are easier to install and maintain with Debian.
It is also a great that we can have lawyers and programmers from various fields, which sometimes may even normally compete with each other, collaborating on this list. No need to always reinvent the wheel. But I do not understand why we should discuss about a particular technical implementation (programming language) unless we are going to develop something in particular.
