Is it normal for lintian to get a check for transitions? I am unsure. So I hope you can clarify. Basically a test for lesstif1-dev in build-deps. An error message stating you should use lesstif2-dev instead. The trouble is I don't think lintian will be very useful for the package maintainers, as in this case the packages are rarely updated.
