Package: lintian Version: 1.23.45 Severity: minor I got the error sharedobject-in-library-directory-not-actually-a-shlib on a file. The file was missing a soname. Perhaps you could rename the tag to something like sharedobject-in-library-directory-missing-soname. Otherwise people (such as me) would be confused that the file is complete garbage or something. After looking five times I found the distinction between "sharedobject" and "shlib", but that is very subtle.
