Hi, Whilst looking at #452216 and #461575 (both related to dpkg symbols files), I tried to build the libbaz testset package; the build fails with:
======================= gcc -o libbaz1.so.1.0.3b -shared baz.o extra.o -lc /usr/bin/ld: baz.o: relocation R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC baz.o: could not read symbols: Bad value collect2: ld returned 1 exit status ======================= Am I missing something obvious (entirely possible) or does libbaz need fixing?
