Well, like I said, I'm not sure that it's worth the noise, given that findstring does work now. The most likely case when it might stop working is if some new flag were introduced that took free-form parameters that might include a string that matches another flag, but as yet no one's even proposed such a thing. Adding it as info is still saying that Lintian says everyone should change this, and I'm not completely clear that we want to say that. But I also don't feel strongly opposed to it either.
