The bug does not occur with the version of frozen-bubble in unstable.
I’ll upload the new version soon in case you need it to debug this
problem.
Is the source package currently publicly available anywhere? That would
certainly be a useful starting point in terms of debugging the issue.
If you've got a machine running an older version of lintian handy, checking
with that would also be useful.
