sudo supports an /etc/sudoers.d/ directory in which config snippets can be placed. The README in that dir states that files there should have 0440 file mode. Lintian could therefore be taught not to emit this warning: W: domjudge-judgehost: non-standard-file-perm etc/sudoers.d/domjudge 0440 != 0644 Or is it too specific and shall I add an override? cheers, Thijs
