Hello, while packaging a new version of roundup, I get a new lintian error which I consider bogus, and which I will eliminate by using an override for now. The problem: I'm trying to ship a package with 'runit' support, not only initscript support. runit needs status directories for ephemeral data to track the state of supervised processes, like a PID and stuff like: When was the process started, stopped, which is the normal state for the process (up, down), etc. Since this data is semantically quite similar to a pid file, and also only has meaning as long as the usually two supervising processes exsist, I placed the directories for these processes under /var/run (where PID files usually live). I have no better idea about where to place these directories, and unless you have, I would prefer lintian to not complain about these directories, or at most, as a warning (so I can remove these errors from the overrides file).
