I am building a package which ships a .a/.so/.la and get this phenomenal lintian error E: gwaei: non-empty-dependency_libs-in-la-file usr/lib/libwaei.la So I try to understand what is going on, but the explanations there are as useful as ... hmmmm... better not say it: - N: The in itself .la file may be useful, if the library is loaded N: dynamically via libltdl.
