Package: lintian Severity: wishlist
I think it would be useful if harness had an "reschedule-all" option that slowly re-runs already checked packages over several days/incremental runs. Either by limiting the time (e.g. spend 1-2 hours rechecking packages) or by package count (e.g. recheck 500 packages) or maybe by some third metric. This would allow us to upgrade lintian on lintian.d.o, ask harness to reschedule packages and still get daily updates. In contrast to now where lintian.d.o is "frozen" for 3-4 days while the full run completes. In fact, I think our "current full run" would be better implemented as the above. I suspect piuparts have something similar (based on some of its "state" graphs[1]). ~Niels [1] http://piuparts.debian.org/squeeze2wheezy/states.png Notice how the "red" (dependency-failed-testing) part is replaced by "yellow" (waiting-for-dependency-to-be-tested). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
