Package: lintian Version: 2.5.5 Severity: wishlist It turns out a few people (including me) have been using -docs for documentation package names intead of -doc:
$ zcat Packages.gz | grep-dctrl -F Package -e '^.*-doc$' -ns Package | wc -l 2415 $ zcat Packages.gz | grep-dctrl -F Package -e '^.*-docs$' -ns Package | wc -l 42 Although I don't believe there's anything in policy about, I think it deserves an information level tag to suggest naming the binary foo-doc instead. Perhaps unusual-documentation-package-name. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
