Conffile symlinks have never been supported (see my message at [0]) and will create problems for dpkg (as seen in 421344 and 312846). [0] <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=690051#12> While dpkg-deb and dpkg should error out on this in the future (or get actual support for conffile symlinks), it would still be useful for lintian to report those for now so that they can be spotted, and possibly rejected by dak.
