The lintian maintainers are /not/ the maintainers of the backport of Lintian and accordingly cannot ack on your wish to get a backport. I believe the FTP masters handles that. Please note that I just saw a mail for an upload to backports, so I guess they are working on it. Regardless, I have taken the liberty of re-closing this bug.
