I am unable to reproduce this error using schroot and 'DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=parallel=1 debuild'. Looking at your log, however, I did see this: Runner died for debian/test-out/tags/checks/binaries/binaries-general: cd debian/test-out/tags/checks/binaries/binaries-general; make --trace DEFAULT_DH_COMPAT=12 failed at t/bin/build-test-packages line 375. at t/bin/build-test-packages line 318.
