*Because, 26 year old Beauty Queen Anastasia Lin who practices Falun
Dafa, a peaceful exercise and meditation practice is voicing her support
for all the innocent people who are being denied the freedom to practice
FalunDafa in China.*
• Anastasia Lin practices Falun Dafa that had 7 crore people embracing
it but on 20 July 1999 then Communist Party Chief, Jiang Zemin initiated
a massive nation-wide persecution campaign to eradicate Falun Gong.
• *Falun Dafa* practitioners were subsequently denied the freedom to
practice and were jailed, tortured and often killed for their organs
through the Communist Party’s harsh methods
• Multiple independent investigations estimate that tens of thousands of
Falun Gong practitioners have been killed to fuel China’s lucrative
organ transplant industry.
• Shocked by these reports, former Secretary of State for Asia Pacific
David Kilgour and renowned Canadian human rights attorney David Matas
launched their own independent investigation

*Five independent health surveys conducted in China in 1998 involving
35,000 practitioners of Falun Dafa showed that there was an average cure
rate of 60%, an improvement rate of 80% in physical health and 95% in
mental health, thereby concluding that Falun Dafa has a clear and
significant effect in disease healing and health promotion.*
In 2015, when the Miss World competition took place in China, Anastasia
Lin representing Canada was blocked from entering the country by Chinese
authorities. Lin was again a finalist in the Miss World contest, which
in 2016 was in Washington, D.C. She was not allowed to talk to reporters
without risking getting kicked out of the pageant.
• The Chinese government has not left out any trick to stop Anastasia
from going to the world media.
• Anastasia Lin found other platforms for her advocacy and the spotlight
on her only seems to be getting bigger as the attempts at censorship get
more aggressive.
