Hi, Please see this new note about Lintian in the upcoming Misc Developer News [1]:
Lintian exit status Starting with Lintian version 2.77.0, the handling of exit codes is reversed. Lintian now exits with a status of 1 for program errors and with 2 for other conditions. The new command-line option --fail-on determines those conditions. Please keep in mind that --fail-on warning does not imply --fail-on error. Please specify both if you require both. You can use a comma-separated list or use the option multiple times. Also, there is no default setting anymore. Policy violations no longer produce a non-zero exit status unless the option --fail-on error is used. Thanks for using Lintian when working on your packages! Kind regards Felix Lechner [1] https://wiki.debian.org/DeveloperNews
