Package: lintian Version: 2.84.0 lintian errors on a missing shlibs file even if a symbols file is present. Afaics there is no requirement in debian policy to ship both, always talking about shlibs *or* symbols files. Seen in binutils (libbfd0, libbfd-nobfd0), which is not using debhelper (apparently installing both) for the packaging.
