The description of the tag debug-symbol-migration-possibly-complete contains the following paragraph: “However, if the command was added later (and/or the package was not included in stretch) please wait until it has been included in a stable release before removing it.” I could be mistaken, but it appears that the reference to the stretch distribution is outdated. This reference was certainly correct when the tag was introduced in commit 56b93a17 [1], on May 10 2018. At that time, buster, the successor of stretch, had not yet been released.
