Hello, I'm customizing debian-live for use in a pendrive -- this problem occurred when I was using in a CD too. Sometimes (depending of hdd in use) the system inicialization breaks mounting root So, I put at end of (initrd.gz)/scripts/init-premount/udev the command sleep 5 This ocurred because the UDEV wasn't started correctly when the mounting starts.
