ip= was just a replacement for staticip... which just disabled dhcp in the first implementation, then I implemented the static ip config via bootparm, then someone asked about renaming it "ip" > zgrep ^ip= /usr/share/doc/linux-doc-2.6.18/Documentation/nfsroot.txt.gz I did not remembered it was a standard boot parm. > ip=<client-ip>:<server-ip>:<gw-ip>:<netmask>:<hostname>:<device>:<autoconf> I'll then rework the syntax, or change the boot parm...
