for such small files, you could easily have it attach to your mail. firing up a browser just to look it up sucks. however, if the kernel does load and your system hangs, then report a bug against linux-2.6; if the kernel doesn't load but grub finds it, report a bug against grub. there is nothing live specific here that we can help with.
