I have got one more stage along due to the re-naming to live.chroot. gpg. I have tried further googling and have tried the following:
live.chroot -------------- deb http://deb.opera.com/opera lenny non-free ./ (also tried: deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner ./) live.chroot.gpg ----------------- gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-key F9A2F76A9D1A0061 gpg --fingerprint F9A2F76A9D1A0061 gpg --armor --export F9A2F76A9D1A0061 | sudo apt-key add - (also tried: gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-key 6A423791 gpg --fingerprint 6A423791 gpg --armor --export 6A423791| sudo apt-key add -) I get a result like this: ---------------------------- P: Configuring file /etc/apt/sources.list gpg: keyring `/root/.gnupg/secring.gpg' created gpg: keyring `/root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg' created gpg: /root/.gnupg/trustdb.gpg: trustdb created OK Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found. P: Begin unmounting filesystems... Does the syntax of my live.chroot.gpg look correct, or have I got the wrong end of the stick? To summarise, I'm just trying to install Opera from a deb file in my chroot_local-packages directory.
