to be complete,  in reality i needed to hack /usr/bin/lh_binary_rootfs changing 
the "mksquashfs" commands to "mksquashfs-lzma". this seems to work. live-helper 
now
installs squashfs-lzma-tools. 

but acording to "ls -l" the binary image of the live-cd increased from
726560768 (zlib) to 747321344  (lzma). what am i doing wrong?

squashfs-tools-lzma version is 4.0-2
