For (at least) KDE that would eliminate the msg on shutdown that tty1-7 are all active and if you'd like to close all them. It would also help with users choosing 'logout' or locking the session, where the only way out of it is to provide username/password combo, which most users of the LiveCD wouldn't know, unless they've read the Debian Live FAQ/wiki (which is quite unlikely).
