Using live-helper many times I found myself wasting the most time in
getting a suitable list of packages.
live-helper does have great tools for doing the job, mainly
*/usr/share/live-helper/lists* directory and
*config/chroot_local-packageslists*. But if something goes wrong (and
it often happens!) the by-pass is copying a
*/usr/share/live-helper/lists/xxx in
**config/chroot_local-packageslists, *appending it the .list suffix and
patching it. This is not very robust as doing so, one doesn't follow
progress made by live-helper.
So a local exclude mechanism would be welcomed. For instance it can be
used to exclude apparmor which doesn't work (at least in Ubuntu) on live
system but is included, which needs a hack to disable it at each boot.
