I think that was me using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. I simply built the live-boot, live-build and live-config packages from the git repositories, using the instructions from the manual. I then moved the likely looking .debs into position in packages.chroot, not really having a clue what was needed/would get it to work and what wouldn't. Now, I might not have got it quite right and probably included more packages than were actually required or actually get used, but it worked/works. Here is my lb config to show I'm not doing anything clever lb config \ --binary-images hdd \ --archive-areas 'main contrib non-free' \ --mirror-bootstrap http://danny:3142/ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ \ --mirror-chroot-security http://danny:3142/ftp.uk.debian.org/debian-security/ \ --mirror-chroot-backports http://danny:3142/ftp.uk/debian.org/debian-backports/ \ --bootappend-live "hostname=foo username=bobbins persistent" Hope this helps, tng -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
