Greetings, I found that since the 3.0 series multiple read only file system overlays seemed broken. I found moving the exposed root check inside of the test to see if exposed roots are enabled fixed the problem. I have tested this and it works reliably with 1 or more extra squashfs files on top of the base live file system. Thanks!
