It appears that you requested type net, which would not generate an iso file. Type net is a bug and it should be type netboot. I have made a commit to live-build git debian-next branch and made a modification on l-b.d.n, which on a small set of sample runs appears to successfully generate a binary.netboot.tar.xz file. Please know that I have note tested any of these builds.
