Is there a method to do that cleanly ?

the proper and supported way is to build a complete kernel tree, upload it to a repository, use it from there. this is the only use case we really test.

anything else might or might not work at a given time, e.g. currently there are a couple of issues with 'inproper' kernel packages. lb does handle them best-effort only.

or in other words: do it properly and be done with it, or help fixing it for your use cases.

sorry to not have any better news.
