Hi, as described in bug#680469 [1] the wheezy lxc debian template requires debian containers to have the live-debconfig package installable. Wheezy doesnt include live-debconfig so one must use a workaround (involving manually downloading a live-debconfig *.deb file from jessie or newer) to create a wheezy container if one doesnt want to use 3rd party templates.
If live-debconfig was at least in wheezy-backports, then it would be possible to create wheezy containers using the template from the lxc package without having to resort to manually downloading a live-debconfig *.deb file. You can find my rebuild of the arch:all live-debconfig source packages on mentors here [2]. CC'ing the lxc and live-debconfig maintainers for comments and corrections. Would it make sense and be possible to have the live-debconfig package in wheezy-backports? I hope I didnt forget anything :) cheers, josch [1] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=680469 [2] https://mentors.debian.net/package/live-debconfig -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
